A milestone project for digiLED Japan

In 2022, digiLED Japan reached an exciting milestone by completing its very first eSports installation worldwide. The project took place inside RED° TOKYO TOWER, Japan’s largest eSports park located at the base of the iconic Tokyo Tower.

The project involved designing, supplying, and installing two high-resolution indoor LED displays, with a combined screen area of 49.5sqm, located on the 1st and 3rd floors of the venue.

Rising 333 meters above the city, Tokyo Tower has been a landmark since 1958, attracting millions of visitors each year. At its base sits RED° TOKYO TOWER, a 5,600sqm entertainment complex spread across three floors.

Designed with futuristic, sci-fi-inspired spaces, the venue combines eSports tournaments, casual gaming, and live events. It has quickly become a flagship destination for eSports in Asia, drawing both international and community players.

digiLED creates an immersive eSports experience

The first LED display was installed at the 1st floor entrance, immediately welcoming visitors with bold, high-resolution visuals. This screen is particularly eye-catching thanks to its unique 90° corner design, which creates an immersive viewing experience as guests step into the venue.

On the 3rd floor, a second large-format LED wall was installed to showcase event schedules, promotional content, and live updates. Positioned at the heart of the gaming space, this display ensures eSports fans and participants are always kept informed about the latest updates.

Together, the two displays deliver striking visuals while keeping guests up to date with announcements and promotional content. By blending eye-catching design with practical functionality, the screens enhance the overall experience and support the venue’s events.

The displays were built using digiTHIN XS 2.9mm, one of digiLED’s fine-pitch LED solutions. Its ultra-thin profile meant the panels could be mounted directly onto the wall, creating a sleek and modern finish that integrates seamlessly with RED° TOKYO TOWER’s futuristic design.

Beyond aesthetics, digiTHIN XS was chosen for its high resolution, ensuring crystal-clear visuals even at close viewing distances. The product also delivers energy-efficient performance, helping the venue reduce power consumption without compromising brightness or image quality. Thanks to its versatile design, it was the perfect choice for the striking 90° corner display on the first floor, a feature that adds a unique architectural element to the space.
