High-brightness LED displays designed to overcome high ambient light
With large volumes of natural light flooding the atrium, maintaining strong image visibility throughout the day was a key consideration. The chosen LED solution needed to combine high resolution with the brightness required to maintain visual impact in a demanding, light-filled environment.

Rather than functioning as a standalone screen, the LED displays form part of Pier 17’s architectural environment. Spanning the three-floor atrium, the displays wrap around the joints and façades of the space to create a continuous visual canvas.
This integration allows content to remain visually connected as visitors move through the venue, creating a seamless, immersive experience across multiple levels. The slim profile and high-resolution 3.9 mm pixel pitch of digiTILE also helped the displays integrate into the surrounding space while delivering sharp, detailed content.

Easy installation and maintenance for a complex, bespoke LED display
Installation and maintenance were always going to prove challenging, so it was important that the LED screen solution was lightweight and simple to install.
digiTILE offers strong magnetic fixings and total front access, allowing maintenance to take place without the need to remove chassis and multiple panels to access the internal components. digiLED’s maintenance tool, the dAVE250, eliminates the need for screwdrivers and drills, allowing tiles to be removed and replaced in seconds.
This was especially important for an immersive LED installation of this magnitude, as prolonged maintenance times could require a significant portion of the atrium to shut down, negatively impacting businesses within the venue.

The completed LED installation covers a total area of 212 sqm, with a pixel count of 13,153,728 – and the outcome is stunning.
With the LED displays wrapping around the joints and façades of the space, visitors are treated to a seamless, immersive visual experience that continues as they move from floor to floor.
