Ultra-wide LED screen transforms Hilton New York mezzanine
When the Midtown Hilton, the largest hotel in New York, wanted to install a high-resolution, ultra-wide LED screen on its mezzanine level, the project presented a unique challenge.
The 10.5m x 1.968m indoor LED display needed to comply with OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) regulations, which meant the screen could not protrude more than four inches from the wall.

Ultra-thin LED display meets strict installation requirements
digiTHIN HD was the perfect choice for the project. With no need for additional framework or support structure, digiTHIN can be screwed directly to the wall to create an exceptionally slim LED display, with a depth of only two inches.
Each digiTHIN chassis has four independent z-adjustment screws, enabling the front surface of the LED screen to be precisely adjusted for a truly level display.
The z-adjusters allow for up to 15mm of compensation for non-flat walls, ensuring digiLED was able to install the large-format LED screen without exceeding the four-inch projection limit.

Flexible ultra-wide LED screen for hotel content
The design of the project is particularly clever because the display appears to be one long LED screen, but has the capability to be subdivided into three individual screens.
This allows the Hilton to display three separate images or one ultra-wide, ultra-landscape image with an aspect ratio of 48:9. The LED screen was also content mapped so that any image automatically fits the unusual format.
